Lobbies for lower taxes, a lower cost of living, fewer barriers to work and housing, and safe streets, and against the policies that drive Mainers and their businesses out.

Supports aligned advocacy groups across Maine with grants and shared resources.
Where the line is. Mainers First may also engage in political activity to the extent the law permits a 501(c)(4) organization, but that is not its primary purpose. Contributions are not earmarked for any candidate or election. Mainers First alone decides how its funds are used.
Three things you can do this month
Show up to one council or committee meeting and ask what a program costs and what it has accomplished.
Ask every elected official you meet whether they believe the government should run housing, energy, or health care, and listen for a straight answer.
