Mainers First is a Maine nonprofit corporation organized as a social welfare organization under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. It advocates for policies, not people. This website does not support or oppose any candidate for public office.
Contributions or gifts to Mainers First are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
Mainers First is affiliated with Restore Maine, a separate 501(c)(3) charity that conducts research and education and takes no part in advocacy campaigns.
